Tonight the Amerks take on the Manchester Monarchs at 7:35 p.m.  The Monarchs are 4-6-0-3.  They are almost dead last in their division, with only the lol Devils behind them.  Maybe we can squeak out a solid win tonight to move ahead of the Houston Aeros and not be the complete joke of this league.

Chris Beckford-Tseu is getting the start in net tonight.  The game on Wednesday night is “being left behind” by the team, so he’ll get another chance tonight.  It’s apparent he is the goalie the team is still hoping to rely on.

The atmosphere at practice this morning seemed to reflect that of what’s going on everywhere else.  We knew what happened around this time last year effected the players, looks like we’re right back in the same position.  Especially when your boss tells the world you are the problem.

The difference this year though is that Benoit Groulx won’t let the players stop caring or putting in a solid effort, Randy Cunneyworth did last season.

What a bright outlook on the game tonight!  We’re always optimistic about the game, we just need to not committ dumb penaltie, and keep the puck out of our own end.  The defense needs to step up their game to be able to give the offense some opportunities.

Janis Sprukts and Andrew Sweetland are questionable for tonight.  Karl Stewart is still expecting to return on Wednesday against the Marlies.

It’s going to be 25 degrees tonight with a little bit of snow, nothing that will impact driving.  Not too bad.  Come down and see the guys.  They seem to like to beat teams who are from a long distance away from here.  So, tonight would be the night…right?
