Mike Funk Returned to Amerks
The Buffalo Sabres reassigned defenseman Mike Funk to the Rochester Americans. In four games with the sabres he was -3 with 1 shot on goal. In 61 games with the Amerks he has had 2 goals and 5 assists.
Amerks Come Back to Win in OT
David Brine scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Rochester Americans beat the Lake Erie Monsters 5-4. The Amerks took an early 2-0 lead in the first period only to allow the Monsters to score four unanswered goals in the second.
A come back victory on the road, feels strange to write that.

Amerks Pick Up New Defenseman
The Rochester Americans have signed defenseman Paul Baier to an ATO. Baier’s season with Brown University ended recently, leaving him open to play in the AHL.
Gates Residents To See Amerks
From the D&C - Gates residents can take a bus to watch the Rochester Amerks play the Manitoba Moose on March 28.
The bus will leave the Gates Community Center at 6 p.m. The game starts at the Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m.

Amerks Lose on Road to Crunch and Senators
The Rochester Americans were shutout 3-0 on Friday against the Syracuse Crunch, and then lost 4-3 in OT against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday. Both losses were frustrating for different reasons. The Crunch game featured an unconsistent team, the Senators game featured a hard working team.
Yannick Tifu Returned to Dayton Bombers

Sabres Recall Mike Funk; Tough Weekend Ahead
The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Mike Funk, which now leaves the Amerks with four regular defenseman - Peter Aston, Martin Lojek, Franklin MacDonald, and Jordan Henry. Marc-Andre Gragnani has been playing on offense, but with only four men on defense chances are he’ll move back.
