Amerks Lose to First Place Marlies

  The Amerks lost to the first place Toronto Marlies on Friday night by the final score of 5-2.  The turning point in the game came half way through the second period when the Amerks had a goal disallowed due to goalie interfence, moments later the Marlies scored to make it a 4-1 game.

Tanner Glass Recalled to Florida

Tanner Glass has been recalled to the Florida Panthers.  Garth Murray sustained a right shoulder injury during a fight with Chris Neil of the Senators.

MacDonald to Rochester. Taylor & Collins to Everblades.

Frankline MacDonald (D) has been recalled to the Rochester Americans while Adam Taylor (RW) and Dan Collins (RW) have been sent to the Florida Everblades (ECHL)

Sabres to end affiliation with Amerks

Florida Panthers want Amerks as sole affiliate

As reported in the D&C: the Florida Panthers are looking to be the Amerks’ sole affiliate.  The Florida Panthers believe the Buffalo Sabres are indeed leaving Rochester and are willing to take over as the sole parent team for the Amerks starting next season.  Story Here.

Two Game Weekend, The Calm Before The Storm

 This weekend, the Rochester Americans will be hosting two teams at the Blue Cross Arena.  The first game is on Friday against the divisional leaders the Toronto Marlies.
